Los Angeles, CA – Two women lost their lives and four others were injured in a devastating car crash early Saturday morning in the Westmont area of Los Angeles. The collision occurred around 12:10 a.m. on April 12, 2025, near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and Century Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred when a Honda CR-V traveling eastbound on Century Boulevard collided with a Buick heading northbound on Normandie Avenue. The intersection was littered with debris and shattered glass following the incident, as seen in footage captured by a KCAL News photographer.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash, though the CHP is investigating the possibility that one of the drivers may have run a red light.
