Los Angeles, CA – A tragic three-vehicle collision early Saturday morning, March 22, 2025. in East Los Angeles resulted in the death of 26-year-old Anthony Medina. The crash occurred around 12:19 a.m. on the Cesar Chavez Avenue off-ramp of the northbound 5 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
A BMW, a Tesla, and a Nissan were involved in the accident, with the Nissan becoming fully engulfed in flames. Tragically, Medina, the driver of the Nissan, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not disclosed his city of residence.
The driver of the BMW was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Officials have yet to release their identity. The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the crash.
