Los Angeles, CA — Two deadly crashes marred Easter morning in Los Angeles, leaving at least two people dead and several others hospitalized. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the first incident occurred around 5:25 a.m. on the 10 Freeway near Central Avenue. A wrong-way driver caused a multi-vehicle crash, resulting in one death and injuries to four others. Emergency personnel transported the injured to nearby hospitals, but their current conditions remain unknown. Authorities issued a SigAlert, narrowing traffic to one lane in each direction.
Earlier that morning, another fatal collision took place at approximately 2:19 a.m. on the 405 Freeway near Nordhoff Street in the North Hills area. That crash involved two vehicles, and one person was confirmed dead at the scene. No additional details about this incident or the victims have been released.
Investigations are ongoing in both cases, and authorities have not confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a role in either crash.
