Los Angeles, CA — A serious two-car collision in the harbor area of Los Angeles injured at least five individuals on Sunday evening, April 27, 2025. The crash occurred near the intersection of N. Wilmington Boulevard and W. Opp Street just before 8 p.m., according to officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Footage shared on the Citizen app shows extensive damage to a dark-colored sedan that collided with a power pole, its hood crumpled nearly to the windshield with airbags deployed. A light-colored Volkswagen Beetle, also involved in the incident, was later removed from the scene on a flatbed truck, though the extent of damage remains unclear.
Initial reports suggest a 3-year-old child may have been among the injured requiring advanced medical care, although that has not been officially confirmed. The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division is conducting an investigation. Debris surrounded the intersection, which was closed off with yellow tape as officers interviewed witnesses. At least one ambulance was seen leaving the crash site, but the conditions of the victims have not been disclosed.
